About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Duck Creek Developer with strong expertise in the Insurance industry to design, develop, configure, and maintain insurance solutions on the Duck Creek platform. This is a critical role in delivering high-quality, scalable policy administration, claims, or billing systems for our insurance transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, configure, and customize Duck Creek applications (Policy Center, Claims Center, Billing Center, or Suite modules) using Duck Creek tools and technologies.
- Work on configuration and development of key areas such as Rating, Forms, Underwriting Rules, Workflows, Integrations, Trans
ACT, Batches, and Party/Party Role. - Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using Duck Creek APIs, web services, and messaging frameworks.
- Analyze business requirements from insurance stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization of Duck Creek components.
- Collaborate with functional teams, QA, and business analysts in an Agile environment.
- Support production deployments, issue resolution, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Ensure compliance with insurance domain standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- 7 to 10 years of overall IT experience with minimum 4+ years of hands-on development experience on Duck Creek platform.
- Strong expertise in P&C (Property & Casualty) or General Insurance domain processes (Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, Rating, Forms, etc.).
- Proficiency in Duck Creek configuration and development tools, including Duck Creek Author
, XML, XSLT, C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL. - Solid experience in building and customizing Duck Creek modules (Policy, Claims, or Billing).
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and version control (Git/Bitbucket).
- Experience in integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging queues, etc.).
- Exposure to Guidewire platform (as a secondary skill).
- Experience with Duck Creek Cloud or latest Duck Creek versions.
- Knowledge of insurance-specific integrations (e.g., with external rating engines, payment gateways, or third-party services).
- Hands-on experience with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing in Duck Creek projects.
- Prior experience in leading small modules or mentoring developers.
