Expected Salary Range: $105,000 - $145,000

Position OverviewAmatriot is looking for a seasoned Senior Application Software Administrator to contribute to design, deployment, and support of middleware technologies that enable seamless communication between applications. This role demands deep understanding in middleware platforms such as but not limited to JBoss EAP, Apache web server, and Apache Tomcat in a Microsoft environment. This role will play a significant part in ensuring performance, operations & maintenance, scalability, and security across our application ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, configure, and maintain middleware platforms across development, test, and production windows environments.
- Support patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation for middleware components.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for middleware-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal throughput and reliability. Interacts with vendors to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Contribute to documenting architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to new project planning, research, development and deployment.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Provide expertise in environmental refresh projects.
- Manage SSL certificates, security configurations, and compliance standards.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat & JBoss patching, maintenance, deployment
- Experience in deployment and integration of COTS products and ETL solutions.
- Experience developing and maintaining Single Sign On (SSO) and Two Factor Authentication (TFA) solutions
- Knowledge of web and object-oriented programming languages:
JavaScript, JAVA, HTML, XML, PERL, web services, IIS, ASP.NET - Knowledge and experience with scripting languages and associated software to leverage, improve, and automate processes (Power Shell, Perl, etc.)
- Experience with virtualization technologies a plus (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Experience with JBoss and Apache servers
- Strong background in managing application infrastructure in MS Windows environment
- Solid understanding of application infrastructure and architecture concepts.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to obtain a 6C Public Trust government clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must currently reside in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.
- Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance.
- Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
- Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. If applicable, new and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.
