Duties
* Ensure systems are operated and maintained in accordance with DA and DoD security directives and implement various policies and procedures.
* Conduct trend analyses to forecast short-term and long-term customer tool requirements, and develop plans and budgetary documents to sustain operations.
* Supervise employees by planning work, setting/adjusting priorities, assigning work based on capabilities, and evaluating performance.
* Identify developmental and training needs of employees, provide or arrange for training, and find ways to improve production or quality of work directed.

* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes
1. Managing day-to-day operations of an Information Technology (IT) customer support, desktop, or network infrastructure organization;
2. Ensuring IT systems operate in compliance with agency security directives and procedures; and 3. Conducting trend analysis to forecast short-term and long-term IT customers' needs to develop strategic plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail
