The Helpdesk Level 1 Support Technician is the first point of contact for all IT-related issues and requests within Jefferson Regional. This role is responsible for providing technical support to end-users across the organization, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer service-oriented mindset, and a basic understanding of IT systems, with a focus on providing efficient and effective support in a healthcare environment.

Typical

Hours:

Monday
- Friday from 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m. Position will rotate for call.

This position is based within Jefferson Regional Information Systems Department.

Help Desk I

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other related field preferred.
• Certification in CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum Requirements:
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers)
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong problem solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a customer service oriented attitude
• Other Requirements:
  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Preferred Requirements:
• Experience:
  
  0-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk role, preferably in a healthcare environment a plus
• Proficient knowledge in windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suites, and IT hardware.
