Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on‑site position based in Pine Bluff, AR, for a Deputy City Attorney. The Deputy City Attorney will handle a wide range of legal responsibilities, including providing legal advice to city officials, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing the City in legal proceedings. The role involves working on labor and employment law matters, contract negotiations, and addressing legal compliance issues to ensure the City’s legal and administrative operations align with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications- In-depth knowledge of Law and expertise in Labor and Employment Law.
- Strong skills in providing Legal Advice and guidance to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed legal Research and analysis.
- Proficiency in Negotiation and resolving legal disputes efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a governmental or legal team environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active law licensure in the state of Arkansas.
- Prior experience in municipal or public sector law is highly desirable.
