Senior Coating Technician

Enid, OK — Responsible for daily field tasks, independent operations, training and mentoring of technicians and laborers.

• Identify appropriate abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday test, and adhesion test.
• Consistently lead & coach others on STAC meetings.
• Communicate effectively with the Foreman & Superintendent.
• Lead a team of laborers & technicians when required.
• Assess conditions & issues and determine suitable corrective action.
• Maintain a positive attitude, motivate the team to perform.
• Accurately observe & report conditions & issues to supervisor.

• Train others in abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, apply coatings, and perform holiday/adhesion testing.
• Competent Person Trained:
  Confined space, fall protection, silica, and scaffolding.
• Operate & maintain pump systems and spray equipment.
• Safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer attached.
• Evaluate defective or damaged equipment and take corrective action.
• Engage in and provide input to project planning meetings with Superintendent.
• Minimum of 3 years in high-performance coating application(s).
