Overview
Position summary and responsibilities described below. This role directs and guides members of management and hourly associates on customer service approaches and techniques, models excellent service, resolves customer needs and issues within company guidelines, and builds relationships to provide feedback and information to customers and associates.
It drives and ensures the facility’s financial performance by managing budgets, sales, wages, and expenses, and by assisting the store manager in controlling costs and aligning expenses to sales. The role involves planning and implementing improvements to financial performance, budgeting, and analyzing economic trends and community needs.
Responsibilities- Directs facility operations and sets service level standards; develops merchandise presentation, pricing accuracy, signage, stock availability, and inventory levels; guides execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives; ensures quality assurance standards and safety and operational reviews.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, delegating objectives, and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and growth targets.
- Drives execution of multiple business plans by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating plans, removing barriers, allocating resources, measuring performance, and adapting to change; develops contingency plans and supports continuous learning.
- Supports company policies, ethics, and integrity; promotes Open Door Policy; evaluates ongoing plans and initiatives, solicits feedback from stakeholders, and participates in community outreach while upholding Walmart values and sustainability efforts.
- Fosters teamwork and belonging by building high-performing teams, respecting differences, communicating with energy and positivity, and promoting talent development and recognition.
- Acts with integrity and serves customers by delivering results, prioritizing customers, and applying EDLP/EDLC models to planning.
- Embraces continuous improvement, encourages new technologies and skills, and supports others through change.
- Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of general management experience with financial accountability; 2 years of college; OR 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervising 10 associates; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year supervising 10 associates. - For certain facilities: may require state-issued Certificate of Eligibility or firearms background checks and training where applicable.
- Associates must complete all required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 20+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Walmart. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 – $, with additional compensation for performance and other factors as described. This role includes location-based pay differentials where applicable and other plan terms.
