Job Summary
Interior Installer III should be able to install cabinetry within at least three designated areas, adhering to expected safety, quality, schedule and cost requirements. Demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental engineering and industrial practices, following established procedures and guidelines to optimize aircraft delivery to customer. Possess an advanced knowledge of CATIA software, engineering FES standards, and the QEC process. Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude, contributing to a productive work environment.
Proactively share knowledge and mentor colleagues. Ability to perform SME tasks for galley sliding doors, aft Lav doors and mid cabin dividers.
- Proficient in the following areas unsupervised with little or no rework: seat and carpet installation
- Fit and install bulkheads
- Fit and install side ledges
- Build baggage area
- Trim valance panel
- Locate and install inserts
- Install cabinet carcass
- Ability to install cabinets
- Ability to perform FTPs (water systems, air systems, oxygen systems and mechanism)
- Ability to fly and work squawks - onboard task specialist
- Advanced understanding and consistently perform applying SPQSC principles
- Advanced knowledge in the following goals and milestones for Mod 2 installations; independently executes installation tasks, identifies opportunities and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
- Basic understanding of Flight line phase tasks including SOC, CAS, Pre-Form 52 and airworthiness checklist process
- Advanced understanding of VSM schedules, ARP and QR processes; perform efficiently to the VSM schedule and ARP, complete QRs accurately
- Embraces 5S+ principles and champions the importance within the team; identifies opportunities to improve the organization and efficiency of the work environment through 5S+
- Embrace values by consistently taking ownership of assigned tasks; actively participates in teamwork and problem-solving; maintain a helpful and respectful attitude
- Effectively communicate and interact with other employees and management
- Capable of handling complex rework, including tasks requiring collaboration with other disciplines; analyzes NCR documentation within CAMS to determine appropriate course of action and executes repairs effectively
- Performs and fully understands the CANN process; analyzes the root cause of issues and contributes to developing corrective actions within the CANN process
- Effectively performs rework on the aircraft, balancing quality with timeliness to maintain project schedules
- Provides guidance and mentorship to new employees and contractors fostering their skill development and knowledge of aircraft interior installation
- Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures
- Protect aircraft interior and exterior in accordance with the aircraft protection document and company standards and procedures
- Trains other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by team lead
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Ability to set up and operate all standard equipment or tools
- Good working knowledge of math and geometry with the ability to work in both metric and imperial units
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, fostering collaboration and positive interactions with colleagues and supervisors
- Effectively manages their work schedule to meet deadlines; understands how their work contributes to overall schedule and budget
- Computer proficient
- Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework
- Able to work with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet components
- Must be able to work with adhesives and chemicals
- Able to solve practical problems
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work with company’s approved adhesives and chemicals
Compensation And BenefitsThe compensation for this position typically falls between $29.00 and $37.31 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
