Position Summary
The Maintenance Generalist MG05 is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and disassemble equipment.
- Housekeeping responsibilities.
- Operate and maintain mobile equipment, pneumatic, and circuit components.
- Perform welding on ferrous materials using oxy‑fuel welding equipment, oxygen cutting, and plasma cutting.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform physical tasks including climbing, standing, bending, sitting, and carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 70 lbs multiple times weekly.
- Work in varying environmental conditions (hot and cold).
- Work overtime and weekends as required.
- Follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Work at heights safely.
- Minimum of six months of work experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance or equivalent training.
- Agricultural milling maintenance experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
