Rotor Technician

Job Summary

Must be able to set up and operate the machinery in department 7 in an efficient manner. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing high quality parts for the next internal customer in the chain.

• Ability to set up and operate the machinery in department 7 such as die cast, small rotor final, spin cast, fab rotor, etc.
• Ability to visually inspect parts, detect defects and make necessary changes with quality guidelines.
• Read a tape measurer.
• Must comply with company quality and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum basic math skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Preferred:
  Ability to work independently.
• Dependability.

• Must be able to read prints.
• Use micrometers, verniers, snap gauges.
• Basic computer skills.
• Operate a forklift.

Minimum qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.

Preferred qualifications:

Previous employment in manufacturing;
Ability to work in a team‑oriented setting;
Good communication skills – verbal & written.
