Position Summary

Livingood Daily is seeking a detail-oriented, execution focused Email Marketing Specialist to support and scale our lifecycle marketing efforts across email, SMS, and push notifications. Reporting to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for executing, optimizing, and reporting on customer communication programs that drive acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.

This role oversees an external email and SMS agency that handles the majority of campaign and flow production. However, this position is expected to be hands‑on and keyboard‑ready, stepping in to build, edit, QA, and deploy campaigns and flows as needed to ensure timelines, quality, and performance standards are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data‑driven, comfortable managing agencies, and confident executing within Klaviyo and Shopify.

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$80,000, depending on experience.

What you’ll do
  • Execute the email, SMS, and push notification strategy by building and optimizing campaigns, flows, segmentation, deliverability, and channel performance to support lifecycle goals.
  • Own end‑to‑end execution of email and SMS initiatives, including template building or HTML, copywriting support, asset coordination, QA, and deployment.
  • Provide oversight and day‑to‑day management of the email marketing agency, ensuring output quality, on‑time delivery, and alignment with strategy, brand, and performance goals.
  • Manage and maintain the communications calendar across email, SMS, and push notifications.
  • Develop and execute lifecycle programs that support onboarding, education, repeat purchase, subscription adoption, and churn reduction.
  • Design and implement sophisticated automated email workflows, ensuring timely and relevant communications throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Develop customer segmentation strategies based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement metrics, driving personalized messaging that resonates with distinct customer segments.
  • Leverage customer insights to create dynamic, personalized content, ensuring emails are tailored based on individual customer behavior.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance, including open rate, click‑through rate, revenue, engagement, unsubscribes, and deliverability.
  • Implement A/B testing and experimentation across subject lines, content, CTAs, timing, and segmentation to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Produce regular reporting and executive‑ready summaries, providing insights, learnings, and recommendations to inform strategy.
  • Coordinate with creative, growth marketing, product and customer experience teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey and consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Ensure email, SMS, and push programs comply with relevant regulations, privacy requirements, and platform best practices.
  • Ensure list hygiene and manage subscriber data, optimizing segmentation standards for better campaign targeting and effectiveness.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in e‑commerce, lifecycle marketing, loyalty, and mobile engagement, identifying new opportunities for growth.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on email and SMS marketing experience for a Direct‑to‑Consumer ecommerce brand
