About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Policy Research Consultant with expertise in industrial policy, technology policy, and macroeconomic analysis to support ongoing research on government-led strategic initiatives and their market implications. This role is ideal for professionals with public sector, think tank, or advisory experience who can provide high-quality insights on a flexible basis.

You will analyze how policies (e.g., subsidies, R&D incentives, trade regulations) shape industries and investment landscapes, with a focus on tech sovereignty, supply chain resilience, and innovation-driven growth strategies in key markets (U.S., Europe, Asia).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the economic and sectoral impacts of policy shifts (e.g., export controls, FDI screening, R&D funding).
  • Produce concise reports, policy briefs, or presentations for internal and client use.
  • Monitor and summarize regulatory updates, white papers, and government announcements.
  • (Optional) Engage with external experts or stakeholders for interviews/validation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Economy, International Relations, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in policy research, public sector analysis, or macroeconomic consulting (e.g., government, think tanks, advisory firms).
  • Strong understanding of industrial policy tools (e.g., subsidies, tax incentives) and technology governance frameworks.
  • Ability to translate complex policies into clear, actionable insights.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills a plus.
