Retail & Store Manager, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit/loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses indexed to sales. Monitors effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and recognizing excellence, creating a belonging mindset and recruiting qualified staff to meet staffing needs. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities, develops relationships with key stakeholders, supports plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs, clarifies goals and objectives, builds accountability, measures progress, and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity through implementation of action plans, the open‑door policy, and ethical business practices. Builds high‑performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates an inclusive workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected. Attracts and retains top talent, empowers development, and recognizes contributions. Acts with integrity, promotes a regenerative culture, and engages in community service.
Serves customers and members, delivers results, applies EDLP and EDLC models, makes data‑driven decisions, balances short‑ and long‑term priorities, and drives continuous improvement through technology and change.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges)
