Direct Sales Agent Specialist – Auto Insurance

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to grow profitable sales in the Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance product lines. This on‑site role requires building rapport with walk‑in customers, conducting marketing calls and in‑person visits, and retaining a book of business within a retail location.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business sales and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Generate and cross‑sell to new and existing customers.
  • Conduct outbound calls to established target customers.
  • Monitor local competitors and suggest initiatives to improve market position.
  • Plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes with Direct Sales Leadership.
  • Deliver results within metrics such as quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Manage cash drawer: receive payments, issue receipts, verify reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of underwriting guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
  • High School or GED (minimum education).
  • 0–2 years of sales experience.
  • P&C licensure preferred; must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
  • Ability to close insurance and ancillary product sales.
  • Experience meeting/exceeding sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
  • Community engagement skills – building multiple centers of influence (e.g., car dealerships, local events).
  • Strong communication, customer service, and compliance skills.

Compensation

Base hourly rate of $20.00 plus uncapped monthly incentive. Total compensation may include commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
