What does a National Sales Manager do at Rinnai?

As a member of Rinnai’s Leadership Team, the National Sales Manager is responsible for creating and executing Rinnai’s corporate strategy with Winsupply. This role includes developing and executing account specific strategies, increasing market share penetration, and driving revenue and profitability.

  • This position is a national position that supports territories within the US.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% within the territory.
  • The pay range for this position is up to $145,000 annually plus 20% bonus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for achieving Annual Operating Plan sales targets for Winsupply while positively impacting Operating Profit goals.
  • Develop strategic relationships at the corporate level and own the Winsupply partner strategy, influenced by Winsupply strategy and outlook, VoC feedback and growth initiatives that align with Rinnai’s strategic priorities and initiatives across multiple product categories.
  • Lead, direct and manage the activities of the Rinnai sales organization and Manufacturer Rep agencies to successfully execute the Winsupply national strategy.
  • Plan to achieve annual sales targets and report monthly sales progress and forecasts against stated targets.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication to Winsupply on all product launches, price updates, events etc.
  • Assist in forecasting business by category.
  • Collaborate with Rinnai sales organization and account at the regional and local levels to ensure team is effectively maximizing partnership opportunities to achieve corporate revenue and operating profit objectives.
  • Monitors market and competitive intelligence, interpret results and execute corrective actions to achieve sales target and profit margins.
  • Support New Product Development process by contributing market and competitive intelligence.
  • Liaison between Winsupply Leadership, Rinnai Leadership and both field sales organizations ensuring focus on clear, cascading communication regarding both parties’ vision, strategic priorities, key initiatives and market opportunities and challenges.
  • Participate in key industry events to meet with significant influencers and targets to identify new business opportunities.
  • Act as main contact for account, resolving any issues and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Create custom solutions and offerings tailored to meet unique requirements.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategy sessions with key decision makers at corporate and regional level on a quarterly basis at minimum.
  • Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Ops, Customer Service) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment.
  • Lead negotiation of program. Ensure sales, finance and marketing functional leaders review and provide input to the program to meet internal deadlines for program presentation and finalization.
  • Assist Rinnai’s Leadership Team in fully understanding account to structure and align resources accordingly.
  • Utilize CRM system to manage activities including sales, leads, opportunities, etc.
  • Travel to support field sales, meet with new and existing customers in various segments which support assigned account, drive revenue and operating profit growth as well key internal and industry events.
