Overview
Coordinates all direct sales activities for existing and prospective accounts within the assigned area, focusing on profitable sales growth and market share expansion. Remote‑Regional position based in the Little Rock, AR / Memphis, TN region.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain updated account plans for major and prospective accounts.
- Provide marketing input for strategic planning and develop account plans aligned with division strategies.
- Implement and coordinate activities per account plan, monitor effectiveness, and provide regular progress reports.
- Establish and manage a call plan for all customers and prospects, adjusting as needed.
- Monitor all customer and prospect activity, reporting on expansions, closures, business trends, and volume impacts.
- Maintain detailed customer files, including share, quality, price, specifications, contacts, and competitor information.
- Maintain up‑to‑date gross margin data for major accounts and make pricing recommendations.
- Build and maintain multi‑level contacts at major existing and prospective accounts.
- Communicate pertinent account information to appropriate personnel through call reports.
- Promote new product and service offerings and identify new uses for existing product lines and potential acquisition candidates.
- Develop and maintain territory sales funnel for prospective new business.
- Provide immediate supervisor with sales projections for products and customers within the area for budget development.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist division marketing with trade shows, conventions, and trade association meetings as requested.
- Stay updated on current selling techniques and continually improve product and market knowledge.
- Champion new products and services requested for the region or division.
- Submit expense reports, call itineraries, and other reports on schedule.
- Promote company goodwill and maintain proper relationships with customers and prospects.
- Protect assets, confidential and restricted information, specifications, materials, and legal obligations in external contacts.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Act as National Manager for specific accounts that span regions.
- 4‑year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
- Proven record of sales prospecting and new business development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple sales development projects through complex processes.
- Familiarity with the packaging industry, specifically Film Cores.
Base salary ranges:
- Account Representative: $73,280 – $82,440
- Account Representative II: $99,360 – $111,780
- Senior Account Representative: $111,760 – $125,730
- Account Manager: $124,800 – $140,400
All levels include an annual target bonus equal to 12.5% of base salary.
