Summary of

Job Duties:

Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent crimes, enforce traffic laws, recognize parking violations, issue traffic citations, identify safety hazards and violators, perform physical security checks of campus buildings. Must be able to work rotating shifts, respond to alarms, conduct investigations, direct traffic, arrest violators, write incident reports, test equipment, use surveillance cameras, monitor security panels, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma equivalent; valid Arkansas driver’s license; at least 21 years of age; U.S. citizen; pass comprehensive background investigation; meet minimum physical/employment requirements for law enforcement; certified by Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training in accordance with ACA 12‑9‑106 or approved academy. Additional education/experience may substitute for basic requirements except certification/licensure.

Pre-employment Screening Requirements: The University may conduct background checks for certain positions, including criminal history and sex offender registry checks.

Salary Information: $25.00 per hour
