Applicants for this position with ASU – Beebe must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with ASU – Beebe such as H1‑B, F‑1 (CPT/OPT), TN or any other status.

ASU – Beebe is seeking a carpenter with skills in the following areas:
Framing (wood and metal studs), drywall installation, suspended ceilings installation, solid and hollow core door installation, and the ability to finish concrete. Experience with all tools related to the carpentry profession is also required. This employee will also at times assist the other skilled trades within the department.

• Suspended ceiling repair
• Concrete finishing
• Framing
• Assist other tradesmen to complete projects that require multiple departments to work together
• Process daily work orders as assigned
• General carpentry duties using hand and power tools
• Repair and build structures using necessary materials, such as wood, sheet rock, and roofing
• Maintain inventory on tools and parts specific to assigned trade

High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on‑the‑job education in a specific skill area plus 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience and a valid Arkansas Driver’s License are required.

Knowledge of methods, practices, and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades. Knowledge of the accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the various skilled trades. Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades. Ability to provide mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates for one or more of the skilled trades.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and/or work drawings. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to maintain inventory on needed parts and tools for one or more of the skilled trades.
