Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our stores. Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs within the required timeframe, and training store associates on equipment care and cleaning.
What You'll Do- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs)
- 3 years’ experience in maintenance
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years’ experience in one of those trades
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located
- Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
