Overview

The Roadside Technician position is an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. When there are no service calls pending, Technicians assist with mounting orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to tire-related failures at customer locations and perform tire repair or replacement on semi-trucks.
  • Operate as a roadside technician during service calls and assist with mounting orders when not actively dispatched.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and assist with general duties as assigned.
Shift Information

There is a mandatory on-call rotation. During on-call periods, technicians may perform after-hours service calls, which are paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. Time worked after-hours is paid accordingly.

Basic Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous Commercial Service Tire experience.
What You Will Learn / About the Role
  • Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
  • Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE and following all safety policies and procedures.
