We are a rapidly growing healthcare technology company seeking a Senior Data Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Customer Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering on many data engineering initiatives towards our customer‑centric technology roadmap, developing robust solutions that address immediate and long‑term business challenges, and ensuring seamless platform integration with client environments.

Working with engineering leaders and your peers, you will be developing conceptual design, logical database, taxonomy, data storage and capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy for Claritas Rx data pipeline. The role partners very closely with Implementation, Product Management, Architects, technical leads, and lead/principal Software Engineer(s) from other teams. Our Products generate actionable business and clinical insights for biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Key Accountabilities

• Designs, builds and oversees the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions and software to capture, manage, store and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources.
• Establishes and builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
• Develops technical tools and programming to cleanse, organize and transform data and to maintain, defend and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis.
• Creates and establishes design standards and assurance processes for software, systems and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows and storage requirements.
• Reviews internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggests changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs.
• Lead the technical requirements gathering, ensuring quality and consistency of our data architecture across our systems.
• Foster innovation by designing and building solutions that solve business problems and by partnering with cross functional stakeholders and at senior levels.
• Develop secure and high‑quality production code. Review / debugs code written by others.
• Actively oversee live operations of our SaaS offering, monitoring KPI’s to find opportunities and threats.
• Design and develop features, understand customer requirements, and meet business goals.
• Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding reliability, availability and performance.
• Implement multi‑tenant systems, with focus on isolation and security.
• Solve challenging technical problems related to security, parallel and distributed systems, programming, resource management, large‑scale system maintenance, and more!
• Organize work around a cross‑functional team of Implementation Managers, BAs, Engineers, BI Developers and Quality Engineers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies and industry trends, leveraging them to drive platform innovation.
