Bus Driver

Viola School District is seeking a dependable and safety-focused School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The driver is responsible for operating a school bus in compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations while ensuring appropriate student supervision and conduct.

Responsibilities include following assigned routes and schedules, conducting required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records, reporting mechanical or discipline concerns, and ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures. The driver serves as a positive representative of the district and must maintain professional interactions with students, staff, and parents.

Applicants must hold a valid Arkansas CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or be willing to obtain required licensure prior to employment. Candidates must meet all state and federal physical requirements and comply with mandatory drug and alcohol testing regulations. The ability to pass a criminal background check, child maltreatment registry check, driving record review, and physical examination in accordance with Arkansas law is required.
