The Part-Time Workforce Continuing Education Instructor – CNC Machining is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality instruction in workforce training courses related to CNC machining and manufacturing operations. Instruction may include classroom, laboratory, and hands‑on training environments. The instructor supports student success through effective teaching practices, assessment of student learning, maintenance of instructional records, and promotion of a safe and inclusive learning environment aligned with college and industry standards.
This is a part-time, instructional staff position.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in CNC machining and related workforce continuing education courses using established learning outcomes and industry standards.
- Provide classroom and laboratory instruction, demonstrations, and supervised hands‑on training.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain appropriate instructional, attendance, and completion records in accordance with college requirements.
- Maintain a safe instructional environment and ensure compliance with equipment, laboratory, and occupational safety procedures.
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with curriculum updates to reflect current industry practices and technologies.
- Inspect and maintain instructional equipment and communicate maintenance or supply needs.
- Support student engagement and success through timely communication and instructional support.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty to support program growth and workforce responsiveness.
- Participate in required training, meetings, and institutional processes applicable to part‑time instructional personnel.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of industry experience in CNC machining or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, machining processes, blueprint reading, shop mathematics, measurement tools, and safe machine operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Preferred education and experience:
- Associate degree in machining, manufacturing, engineering technology, industrial technology, or related field.
- Experience operating or instructing on Haas or comparable CNC platforms.
- Previous instructional, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience.
- Experience with CNC programming and troubleshooting.
