Sandhills Community College is looking to expand their pool of part-time instructors focusing on workforce development. Instruction will be focused on workforce skills training. The instructor is responsible for providing instruction for a variety of employment skills including resume writing, interviewing skills, career alignment classes, career exploration, and skill building.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssociate’s degree, Bachelors preferred.
Required Physical and Cognitive Abilities- Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Walking up to one mile
- Some moderate lifting and carrying (up to 25 pounds)
- Operating assigned equipment
- Working at computer for long periods of time
- Making observations
- Reading and writing
- Operating assigned equipment
- Communicating with others
- Handling varied tasks simultaneously
- Making sound decisions and using good judgment
- Demonstrating intellectual capabilities
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Working closely with others
- Periodically working irregular hours
Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate and/or necessary by President, Provost, EVP, Dean, Department Chair/Supervisor. Completes additional duties as assigned by the Workforce Skills and Training Coordinator.
