Position Summary

The Project Control Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance of assigned projects by providing detailed analyses, cost tracking, and reporting. This role serves as a critical link between project management, finance, and accounting functions (including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) to ensure accurate budgeting, cost control, and revenue tracking throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Control Analyst ensures compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and applicable regulations while delivering timely and accurate financial insights to support decision‑making.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Attend occasional onsite meetings, project locations or training as required (minimal travel less than 10%)
  • Monitor and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and actual costs. Track project expenditures, prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and assist with forecasting (EAC/ETC). Identify risks and provide recommendations.
  • Review vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding, coordinate payments, and resolve discrepancies. Track committed costs and ensure proper project allocation.
  • Support invoicing, monitor receivables, ensure compliance with contract terms, and assist with resolving billing issues. Coordinate with AR for timely collections.
  • Partner with project managers to track performance, support resource planning, labor utilization, and ensure alignment between operations and financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyze KPIs, and present findings to leadership. Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Utilize ERP systems, ensure data accuracy, support audits, and maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5+ years of relevant experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong financial analysis skills, knowledge of AP/AR processes, proficiency in Excel, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
