Overview
Ensures department has adequate amounts of supplies, equipment and other items to provide safe patient care.
Manages supplies and equipment as delegated by leadership. May assist in basic patient support as delegated by the professional registered nurse.
- The employee shall comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders which are applicable to the individual’s own position, actions, and conduct.
- Demonstrates clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and understands par levels and ordering processes.
- Able to perform several tasks in an organized manner.
- Maintains competency appropriate to job function provided, needs of age groups served, and scope of practice.
- Collaborates with Materials management, nursing departments and finance team ensure the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
- Serves as a model for service excellence and patient satisfaction
- Performs patient transfers/transports as needed or requested.
- Works collaboratively with staff and Materials Management to order and assure availability of supplies.
- Assures patient rooms and other care areas are stocked with supplies and equipment.
- Stocks department specific carts and assure Materials Management stocks/replaces appropriate carts.
- Works as liaison with Biomedical Engineering to assure equipment is functioning and repaired in a timely manner.
- Cleans stretchers and patient rooms in compliance with infection control standards
- Reports occurrences promptly and fully, and according to risk management guidelines.
- Maintains quality assurance standards according to regulatory guideline of DNV, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and/or other applicable agencies.
- Performs additional duties as required or assigned.
- Prefer 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Prefer knowledge of medical supplies/equipmen
