EKG Technician
Overview Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and need to be able to function well in emergency situations. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, are detail-oriented, and have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be physically fit enough to work on their feet for long periods of time. Must be able to respond to code calls and stat calls in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
EKG Technician performs Electrocardiograms and Holter Monitor Placement. Responsible for charting test results to patient medical records and appropriate areas. Also, updating and editing procedures in multiple computer software environments. Responsible for cleaning and stocking equipment and work area.
QualificationsHigh School graduate or GED. Associate's degree preferred. BCLS certification is required within 6 months of hire. Must type minimum of 35 wpm.
