The Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator ensures accurate payroll, efficient scheduling, and seamless daily staffing. Responsibilities include balancing schedules, addressing staffing gaps, leading huddles, managing sick calls, and collaborating with staff to meet departmental needs. The role also involves quarterly reconciliation of worked hours and proactive planning to maintain smooth operations.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely payroll through ADP timecard edits and hold team members accountable for verification.
Open and balance schedules, address gaps, and plan for future staffing needs.
Manage daily staffing, including identifying coverage gaps, sending alerts, and leading staffing huddles.
Handle adjustments for acuity changes and sick calls, assign Float Pool staff, and coordinate with Charge Nurses for shift planning.
Track and report sick calls and perform quarterly reconciliation of worked hours for specific staff groups.
Bachelor's Degree in communications, business, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products required.
At least one year of experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment required.
Experience with healthcare scheduling systems (Shift Wizard) and payroll systems (ADP) preferred.
Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams preferred.
Must comply with all safety and health standards, rules, and regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
Ability to multitask efficiently in an organized manner.
