Position Summary

The Wellness Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Wellness and Chronic Care Management Departments with clerical needs.

• Schedules patient appointments in a professional, businesslike and courteous manner in accordance with the Clinic and program policies and procedures.
• Maintains and coordinates the health coach’s schedules, having a thorough knowledge of program components and practices.
• Answers telephones and returns calls in a timely manner, taking messages, handling requests and providing accurate information as necessary.
• Handles mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, assuring accuracy and completeness.
• Screens patients and visitors as needed.
• Inquire on wellness benefits available to patients with commercial insurance.
• Assures patients are processed in a timely, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Assists with various reporting needs associated with the ACO.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education (Including Licenses and Certifications): High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: One to two year experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Shift:Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays
Pay Type:Hourly (Non-Exempt)
