Materials Operator
Pay Rate: #####/hr
Hours:
Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Job Description
- Perform material weighing, mixing and sheeting as necessary to support product development.
- Accurately and consistently test rubber materials using a variety of diagnostic equipment such as RPA, Durometer, SPG
- Collect and organize data in a standardized report.
- Maintain material inventory on a bi-weekly basis.
Required skills and minimum years of experience
- 2 years' experience in a laboratory or production environment (preferred, not required)
- Weighing and mixing chemicals
- Basic mathematics
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to operate basic machinery
- Basic PC skills (MS Office Suite)
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Top 5 daily responsibilities
- Batching – follow work instruction to collect and measure raw ingredients
- Mixing – interface with rubber mixing equipment for batch processing
- Data collection – use basic laboratory equipment to generate materials data
- Record keeping – maintain a daily log of activities
- Housekeeping – maintain a clean working environment through daily upkeep
