Overview

The Foundation of First Healthisseekinga creative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Event Planner and Communications Managerto lead the planning and execution of events and support organizational communications. This role is essential to advancing our mission by organizing impactful events and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across platforms.

Responsibilities

Event Planning:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of in-personevents and meetings,including fundraisers, community outreach events, galas,golftournamentsandvolunteer appreciation events.
  • Assistin planning and executing Board and Network Meetingsto include board packets and board minutes.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, staff,speakersand volunteers.
  • Manage eventinvitation design, mailing and emailingof invitation,registration,and promotion.
  • Track metrics and report on event performance and outcomes.
  • Assist with localthird-partyfundraising events.
  • Record event information and attendancein

    Raisers Edge and SharePoint.

Communications

  • Work alongwith

    First

    Health’sStrategic Marketing Department to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that align with the organization’s mission and branding. To include social media outlets.
  • Create compelling content for newsletters, email campaigns, press releases, website updates,impactreportsand donor outreach.
  • Assist with Campaign support Materials,to include

    Power Points and Proposal Materials.
  • Support storytelling efforts, including gathering testimonials and producing engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, communications, marketing, or a related field (preferably in a nonprofit setting).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Officeand digital communication tools (e.g.Mailchimp, Canva, Hootsuite, Eventbrite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability for events.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g.Raisers Edge and Salesforce).
