Overview

The Foundation of First Health is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Event Planner and Communications Manager to lead the planning and execution of events and support organizational communications. This role is essential to advancing our mission by organizing impactful events and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across platforms.

Responsibilities Event Planning
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of in-person events and meetings, including fundraisers, community outreach events, galas, golf tournaments, and volunteer appreciation events.
  • Assist in planning and executing Board and Network Meetings, including board packets and board minutes.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, staff, speakers, and volunteers.
  • Manage event invitation design, mailing and emailing of invitation registration, and promotion.
  • Track metrics and report on event performance and outcomes.
  • Assist with local third-party fundraising events.
  • Record event information and attendance in Raisers Edge and SharePoint.
Communications
  • Work along with First Health's Strategic Marketing Department to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that align with the organization's mission and branding, including social media outlets.
  • Create compelling content for newsletters, email campaigns, press releases, website updates, impact reports, and donor outreach.
  • Assist with campaign support materials, including Power Points and proposal materials.
  • Support storytelling efforts, including gathering testimonials and producing engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, communications, marketing, or a related field (preferably in a nonprofit setting).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Hootsuite, Eventbrite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability for events.
  • Experience with CRM systems, e.g., Raisers Edge and Salesforce.
