What will you do as an PMC Infusion Nurse (RN)The Clinic Infusion Nurse is responsible for administering infusion therapy treatments and providing exceptional care to patients in a clinical setting. This role involves collaborating with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate delivery of infusion services.
A day in the life of a PMC Infusion Nurse (RN) may include:- Administer prescribed intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients during infusions, assess for adverse reactions, and respond appropriately to ensure patient safety.
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access with expertise and precision.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all treatments and patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Manage inventory and prepare infusion supplies, ensuring equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Stay current with best practices, protocols, and regulations related to infusion therapy.
- Provide emotional support and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in infusion therapy, oncology, or a related specialty desired.
Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday)
Pay Type: Hourly (Non‑Exempt).
