ResponsibilitiesCVT is an 18-bed acuity-adaptable unit specializing in cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and management of intra-aortic balloon pumps, and Impella devices. Nurses develop strong assessment skills and become experts at managing drip titrations, chest tubes, and ventilators.
With the acuity-adaptable approach, nurses manage care of the patient requiring open heart surgery from admission through discharge. This setting provides for efficient patient care and strengthens the nurse/patient relationship. Nurses are required to obtain and maintain ACLS certification.
QualificationsWill be working 72 hours per pay period as a staff RN for 12 weeks. Benefit status is consistent with casual part-time benefits.
Former FHC employees and current agency staff are also eligible to apply.
At least 2 years recent ICU experience required. NC RN License or Multistate RN License required.
