About the Practice
An established eye center in the Pinehurst, North Carolina area is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for autonomous positions. The practice is dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient anesthesia services exclusively for ophthalmology procedures in a specialized outpatient setting, emphasizing patient safety and comfort.
Opportunity
Immediate autonomous CRNA job openings are available for both full-time and part-time positions. The schedule is highly favorable:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM , with no call, nights, or weekends . This role requires the CRNA to work independently, managing anesthesia for eye surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Independently administer and manage anesthesia (primarily Monitored Anesthesia Care/MAC) for a variety of ophthalmic surgical procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop individualized anesthetic plans.
- Continuously monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthetic delivery, ensuring optimal patient safety and conditions for the surgeon.
- Manage patient emergence and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with the ophthalmic surgeons and clinical staff.
- Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously are required.
- Experience in outpatient and ophthalmic anesthesia is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- The CRNA must provide their own malpractice insurance .

Compensation and Benefits
- 1099 Status: $1,600 per day .
- The CRNA is responsible for their own taxes, malpractice insurance, and benefits.
- W-2 Option: Annual salary and comprehensive full benefits package available (details discussed upon inquiry).
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. No call, nights, or weekends.
