Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is a recognized healthcare provider in the communities of Moore County, Lee County, Cumberland County, Chatham County, and the surrounding six counties. What will you do as a PMC Nurse (RN)
Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. Tasks include collecting patient health data, analyzing data to determine diagnoses, identifying expected outcomes, developing and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patient progress in collaboration with the healthcare team.
A day in the life of a PMC Nurse (RN) will include:
- Work within scope of license and develop and implement nursing plans of care. Communicate the plan, test results, scheduling of tests and treatment modalities, prescription drug instructions, and other patient education.
- Obtain, review, verify, and complete health‑care forms related to home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient/physician needs.
- Help maintain patient flow and workflow; collaborate as a team member of the clinic staff to provide high quality, efficient service.
- Recognize patient rights and provide confidentiality and dignity.
- Collaborate with other disciplines, promote and support research activities, and utilize available resources to improve patient care.
- Participate in medical staff meetings and quality improvement team efforts.
- Observe patients and report changes in conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and take necessary action.
- Measure and record patients’ vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
- Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods; identify and communicate safety issues for clinical equipment and building.
- Assist physicians with examination and procedures as necessary.
- Maintain patient areas and working spaces in a clean, neat, and orderly manner; monitor use of supplies/medications and restock as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- BLS/CPR certification required. ACLS/PALS is required in specialty areas as determined by accrediting bodies (Cardiology, Infusion, Rheumatology Infusion, CT & GI Endo).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with an EMR system.
- Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience.
Schedule and Hours
Day Shift, Monday - Friday – 40 hours per week.
