Positions Supervised: RN, LPN, Patient Care Assistant, Care Concierge, Unit Secretary
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current North Carolina RN licensure (or compact state)
- Minimum two (2) years patient care experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Specialty Certification
- Experience as a charge nurse in an acute care setting
Additional skills:
- Problem solving, flexibility, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under stress
- Ability to comply with safety and health standards, rules, regulations, and orders
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collaboration with nursing leadership to ensure resource availability
- Service excellence with outstanding communication and feedback skills
- Ability to function effectively in all departmental assignments
Role Responsibility:
Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator manages patient flow and assures quality care. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, supporting assigned patient care areas, leading shift huddles, completing patient assignments, supporting daily operations, and addressing patient, team, and provider concerns. The Coordinator also supports quality initiatives and throughput goals, and completes daily reports and checklists.
