Patrol OfficerJob Summary
The Patrol Officer is responsible for patrolling the club’s property to ensure the safety and security of members, guests, employees, and assets. Reporting to the Director of Security, this position monitors club grounds, buildings, and rental homes, conducts residence and facility checks, and responds to incidents or emergencies as needed. The Patrol Officer serves as a visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment throughout the club.
EssentialFunctions
- Patrol club grounds, facilities, parking areas, and rental homes to maintain safety and security.
- Conduct routine residence and facility checks, reporting any issues, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, coordinating with the Security Department as needed.
- Monitor and report suspicious behavior or security breaches to the Director of Security or Deputy Chief.
- Assist members, guests, and staff with inquiries, directions, or safety concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and documentation of patrols and security activities.
- Support access control, crowd management, and traffic flow during events or high-traffic periods.
- Participate in security training, drills, and professional development programs.
- Follow all club security policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
- Excellent judgment and decision‑making in routine and emergency situations.
- Professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and reporting systems.
- Dependability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- No supervisory duties are included in this position.
- Primarily outdoors, patrolling various areas of the club property.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Interaction with members, guests, staff, and vendors on a regular basis.
- Fast‑paced environment with potential for urgent or emergency situations.
- May require evening, weekend, holiday, or on‑call shifts due to the 24/7 nature of the Security Department.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting or movement of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate vehicles, radios, and other security equipment.
- Quick response capability for emergencies, alarms, or security incidents.
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for monitoring and reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or hospitality preferred.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with access control, surveillance systems, or security reporting software a plus.
- Professional, courteous demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
