The Motorgrader operator hired for this career opportunity is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of equipment for the purposes fine grading. - Arrive at work prior to designated work start time
- Attend daily safety and project coordination meeting
- Proficient in safe operation of Motor grader
- Check fluid levels daily before use
- Capable of fine grading areas within ½” of set grade
- Experience operating the motor grader utilizing GPS, automatics and/or grade stakes
- Ability to cut grade under a string line
- Able to set/check grade for curb/sub-grade and paving
- Able to efficiently fine grade sub-grade and stone base within tolerance with motor grader
- Able to fine grade free hand without the use of GPS of automatics
- Look after small crew for fine grading operations
- Proficient in working with ABC base course; putting down setting up and fine grading for paving
- Have paved areas ready for paving free of any areas that may potentially pond water
- Ensure equipment stays in clean working order and report any issues to Site Leader
- Restore post construction work to original condition or better
- Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities
- Able and willingness to work other tasks assigned when motor grader operation is not needed
- Willingness to work hours as required
- Able to pass a drug screening,
- Legally able to work in the US
- Must have valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR
- OSHA Training
- MSHA Part 46 Training
- First Aid/CPR

Labor Activities–Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly. Work involves frequent shoveling, raking, using hand tools and handling materials in and around trenches or uneven terrain. Requires standing or walking for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
