Job Purpose:

Provide supervision and cost effectively complete assigned projects under the direction of the Job Superintendent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assign specific duties and resources to crew members through the Technician III, and monitor their performance, adjusting where needed.

Must show competency in his/her ability to handle complete repair, cleaning, inspection, and coating of prestressed composite tanks as well as other concrete structures.

Complete projects that involve the inspection, coating, cleaning, repair, and modification of prestressed composite tanks as well as other concrete structures.

Ensure the equipment preventive maintenance program is satisfactorily performed.

Ensure construction crew members obey company and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Maintain First Aid certification.

Advise Job Superintendent of the status of job resources.

Train Technician III in cooperation with the Job Superintendent and evaluate Technicians temporarily assigned from another crew.

Act in capacity of Job Superintendent during Superintendent's absence. Must be able to effectively organize and lead an entire crew.

Supervise water/wastewater, infrastructure repair, and/or coatings crew.

Supervise coating, cleaning, repair technicians

Perform the inspection, coating, cleaning, repair, and modification of prestressed composite tanks as well as other concrete structures.

Demonstrate correct finishing techniques.

Must have completed all the work operations on two tanks or has worked for a period of at least eight months, whichever is longer.

Abide by all safety rules on the jobsite.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of experience as a Technician III.

Must have completed all examinations, Foreman level and below.

Must have completed and passed all safety training requirements for the foreman position.

Must be recommended by the job Superintendent and Area Managers and approved by the Management Board of Directors.

Must meet with three Stockholders on a one-to-one basis at the office for evaluation.

Other qualifications:

Must have the ability to work as a member of a team. The ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately may be required. Must have the ability to use heavy construction equipment.

Working Conditions:

Generally, work 8-to-10-hour shifts, although longer shifts are common; weekend and overtime work may be required.
Employee may experience weather- related work stoppages at any time of the year.
Employees are expected to move, at their own expense, with the crew from one jobsite to the next jobsite, which may be outside of an employee's resident state.
Transportation and housing are the responsibility of the employee.
Some jobs expose workers to harmful materials, chemicals, fumes, odors, loud noise or dangerous machinery.
