Inside Sales Associate (HVAC) – Conklin Metal Industries Tampa / Pinellas Park, FL | 9950 28th Street North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Conklin Metal Industries is opening and expanding our Tampa branch, and we're looking for an Inside Sales Associate who wants to be part of a growing team, make an immediate impact, and grow their career alongside the branch.

Family-owned since 1874, Conklin Metal Industries has grown to 18 branches across the Southeast. We are a trusted supplier to HVAC and sheet metal contractors, providing everything needed to build and install duct systems.

Our customers depend on us for speed, accuracy, and service — and our people are the reason we deliver.

You'll be the go-to support for customers and Territory Managers, keeping sales and operations running smoothly.

Customer & Sales Support

• Handle customer sales via phone, email, text, and walk-ins
• Answer incoming calls and route or assist customers appropriately
• Enter orders, quotes, and sales transactions accurately
• Serve as the liaison between the branch and Territory Managers
• Support Territory Managers with quotes, order entry, and product sourcing
• Initiate and support new customer account setups

Operations & Communication

• Capture and communicate customer-specific needs (delivery requirements, preferences, etc.)
• Support inventory by communicating product needs and demand trends to the Branch Manager and Replenishment team
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth information flow
• Assist with multiple branch needs and jump in wherever help is needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Word, and Excel
• Strong typing and data-entry skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Prophet 21 / P21 preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexible and willing to support multiple roles as needed

• Office-based with regular warehouse interaction
• Monday–Friday schedule (daytime hours)
