Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Pineville,LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Controller responsible for all day-to-day accounting and financial operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This role will oversee job costing, billing, payables, payroll, inventory, daily cash reconciliation, and monthly close activities. The Controller will partner closely with ownership and operations teams, leveraging ERP systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and data-driven decisions that improve profitability and cash flow.

• Ownthegeneralledgerandmanagealldailyaccountingoperationsincludingaccountsreceivable,accounts payable,payroll,bank reconciliations,creditcards,andfixedassets
• Performdailycashreconciliationbycomparinginternalrecords,ERPcashreceipts,andbankactivityincludingACH,wiretransfers,checks,andcardbatches;investigateandresolvediscrepanciespromptly
• Preparetimelyandaccuratemonthlyfinancialstatementsincludingprofitandlossstatements,balance sheets,cashflowreports,andmanagementreporting
• Maintainandcontinuouslyimprovejob-costingstructuresformanufacturingandfabricationoperations,includingtrackinglabor,material,outsideprocessing,andoverheadcosts
• Analyzejobprofitability,machineutilization,andmarginsbycustomer,product,and process;developreportsanddashboardsandprovidevarianceanalysiswithrecommendations
• Develop,document,andenforceaccountingpolicies,procedures,andinternalcontrolssuitableforagrowingmanufacturingoperation
• Overseecustomerbilling,progressbillings,collections,andagedreceivableswhiledrivingeffectivecashcollectionpractices
• Managevendorpayables,paymentterms,andpaymentrunstooptimizecashflowandmaintainstrongsupplierrelationships
• Coordinateandexecutemonthly,quarterly,andyear-endcloseprocessesincludingjournalentries,accruals,and reconciliations
• Leadannualbudgetingandforecastingactivitiesincludingrevenue,labor,consumables,maintenance,andcapitalexpenditures
• Monitoractualresultsversusbudgetandpreparedetailedvarianceanalyseswithcommentaryandrecommendations
• Maintaininventoryaccountingforrawmaterials,work-in-progress,finished goods,andconsumables,includingcoordinationofcyclecountsandphysicalinventories
• Ensurecompliancewithfederal,state,andlocaltaxandregulatoryrequirementsandcoordinatewithexternalCPAfirmsregardingincometax,sales/usetax,andpropertytaxfilings
• Preparefinancialinformationandsupportingdocumentationforexternalaccountants,lenders,andauditorsasneeded
• Evaluateandimproveaccounting,reporting,andERPintegrationstoreducemanualworkandimproveoperationalaccuracy
• Providefinancialanalysistosupportequipmentpurchases,automationinitiatives,andcapitalinvestmentdecisions
• Build,train,andleadasmallaccountingandadministrativeteamascompanygrowthcontinues

• Strongunderstandingofgeneralledgeraccountingandday-to-dayfinancialoperations
• Experiencemanagingaccountspayable,accounts receivable,payroll,reconciliations,andmonthlycloseprocesses
• Knowledgeofjobcostingwithinamanufacturingorfabricationenvironment
• Experienceanalyzingprofitability,margins,utilization,andoperationalfinancialperformance
• Abilitytoprepareaccuratefinancialstatements,cashflowreporting,andvarianceanalyses
• Experiencewithbudgeting,forecasting,andinventoryaccountingpractices
• Knowledgeofinternalcontrols,accounting procedures,andfinancialcompliancerequirements
• Experiencecoordinatingwithexternalaccountants,auditors,lenders,andtaxprofessionals
