SUMMARY
The Plasma Operator is responsible for the burning of steel plates on the Plasma Cutting Machine and for operating the equipment at maximum machine efficiency, generating the highest part quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Efficient operation of numerically controlled cutting machine through challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of the material consumed. Ensuring quality and customer expectations are met on every order.
- Confirm order requirements are met, including the proper selection of job priority, material, gas flows, speed, and program loading.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by improving product quality through validation of machine positioning, program accuracy and inspection of edge quality.
- Make adjustments; edit programs, etc. to optimize production quality and efficiency.
5. - Perform First Article inspection on all production runs to specified tolerances and dimensional check.
- Perform sampling of product at designated intervals to ensure tolerances and dimensions are within specifications.
- Increase process flow and delivery response by assisting in cutting scrap, removing debris.
- Assisting in crane operating and part processing.
- Perform regular predictive maintenance of the equipment to ensure maximum up-time.
- Participate in insuring a safe work environment through best practices including promoting of all company safety policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Fill out necessary forms and paperwork, including production report.
- Handle material with use of overhead crane and forklift.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

- High school or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
