Job Description

The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating,maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with various pipe materials, including steel, copper, and plastic, and be able toread and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle using hand and power tools.
  • Install piping systems, including hanging pipes from ceilings or securing them to walls andfloors.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
  • Test installed piping systems for leaks and functionality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on project sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a related trade.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
  • Certification in pipe fitting or welding (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
