Field Service Engineer

Department: Operations

Direct reporting: Customer Service Engineer

• Install, commissioning and start-up of the machines and their maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and after sales service.
• Contribute to the deployment of and comply with the company's safety culture.

• Ensure deep knowledge of the equipment to be installed by referring to the technical documentation of site facility requirements.
• Perform adjustments and tests required for the proper operation of the machine according to the equipment specifications.
• Coordinate, organize and participate in the machine assembly on site.
• Write reports on adopted solutions for installation in order to follow works and after sales services.

• Diagnostic and reparation of failed equipment, order and replace parts as needed.
• Test the operation after power-up for the different equipment configurations.
• Compile a technical installation report to document the work performed.
• Provide a record for the After-Sales-Service.

• Set an example by complying with instructions on safety, quality, hygiene and environment.
• Take care of your own health and that of others.
• Identify high-risk situations, adapt your behavior accordingly and alert your manager.
• Suggest ways of improving risk prevention.

• Technical knowledge:
  Mechanical, electrotechnical or industrial machines; knowledge of industrial process.
• Ability to analyse/problem solving.
• Company’s product and application offer.
• Pedagogy.
• Reporting and synthesis.
• Language requirement (written and spoken):
  Fluent in English. Other languages welcomed.

Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant industrial discipline. The required education degree may be substituted by extensive professional experience involving similar work responsibilities and/or additional training certificates in relevant domains.
