Molding Operator
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team in Pineville, NC. In this role, you will operate molding presses and related equipment to produce high-quality fittings while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
The successful candidate will be committed to workplace safety, quality assurance, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay: $23.97 per hour plus a 7% Shift Premium Shift: Night Shift, 6:30pm-6:30am, 4 days on, 4 days off
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Equipment Operation:
- Operate molding presses and associated equipment, including hoppers, material loaders, and regrind loaders.
- Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Follow established work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Support daily production goals and maintain required productivity levels.
- Assist with corrective actions for production or quality concerns as needed.
Quality Control:
- Perform product inspections using plug gauges, Go/No-Go gauges, d gauges, and OD thread gauges.
- Complete ISO Quality Checklists accurately and on time.
- Identify, remove, segregate, and report scrap materials.
- Report non-conformances and assist with quality improvement efforts.
- Apply operator identification labels according to company requirements.
Packaging & Material Handling:
- Package finished goods according to established box, case, pallet, and labeling standards.
- Verify correct pallet configurations and packaging requirements.
- Support the proper storage and identification of materials and regrind products.
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment defects immediately.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
- Forklift experience or the ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
