Cam-Ful Industries is seeking a dependable and motivatedHVAC Helperto assist our commercial HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities- Assist HVAC mechanics with installing commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and ventilation systems.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare job sites before work begins and clean work areas upon completion.
- Cut, measure, and assemble ductwork and other HVAC components under supervision.
- Assist with rooftop unit (RTU), split system, exhaust fan, VAV, and air handling unit installations.
- Support preventative maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing HVAC equipment.
- Follow blueprints, sketches, and work instructions as directed.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and all company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0–2 years of construction or HVAC experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC Trade School enrollment or completion.
- OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience operating ladders, lifts, or material handling equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to
75 pounds
. - Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
- Ability to work on rooftops and at heights.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.
