HVAC Helper

Cam-Ful Industries is seeking a dependable and motivatedHVAC Helperto assist our commercial HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade while working alongside experienced professionals on commercial construction and service projects.

• Assist HVAC mechanics with installing commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and ventilation systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare job sites before work begins and clean work areas upon completion.
• Cut, measure, and assemble ductwork and other HVAC components under supervision.
• Assist with rooftop unit (RTU), split system, exhaust fan, VAV, and air handling unit installations.
• Support preventative maintenance and repair activities.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing HVAC equipment.
• Follow blueprints, sketches, and work instructions as directed.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and all company safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years of construction or HVAC experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC Trade School enrollment or completion.
• OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience operating ladders, lifts, or material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to
  75 pounds

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to work on rooftops and at heights.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
