Cam-Ful Industries is seeking an experienced Pipe fitting Foreman to lead field crews on commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical-piping projects. The ideal candidate will have experience planning piping installations, coordinating manpower and materials, interpreting blueprints and isometric drawings, and directing daily field activities. This position requires strong leadership, technical pipe fitting knowledge, and the ability to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards while meeting project schedules.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct pipe fitters, welders, helpers, apprentices, and other assigned field personnel.
  • Plan daily work activities, crew assignments, installation sequences, and short-term production goals.
  • Review project plans, specifications, shop drawings, piping isometrics, equipment submittals, and applicable codes before and during installation.
  • Lay out and coordinate commercial and industrial mechanical-piping systems, including chilled water, hot water, condenser water, steam, refrigerant, and process piping.
  • Coordinate piping installation with HVAC equipment, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, supports, hangers, anchors, and associated components.
  • Confirm field measurements, elevations, slopes, pipe routing, equipment connections, and clearances before fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, lifts, rigging, and equipment to maintain workflow and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor pipe preparation, cutting, threading, grooving, brazing, welding, bolting, and assembly for compliance with plans and quality standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, and other trades to resolve field conflicts.
  • Conduct pre-task planning, toolbox talks, job-hazard analyses, and daily safety discussions with the crew.
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, PPE standards, fall-protection rules, hot-work procedures, and safe rigging practices.
  • Inspect completed work, identify deficiencies, coordinate corrections, and help prepare systems for testing, flushing, start-up, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Track labor progress, material usage, production concerns, change conditions, and other field information required by project leadership.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate less-experienced employees while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work area and protect installed equipment and materials from damage.
  • Perform hands‑on pipe fitting work when needed to support the crew and project schedule.
  • Perform other duties reasonably associated with the position and project requirements.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of commercial or industrial pipe fitting experience, including demonstrated crew‑leadership or foreman responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC and mechanical-piping installation methods, materials, fittings, valves, supports, and equipment connections.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, piping isometrics, specifications, equipment submittals, and applicable codes.
  • Ability to lay out piping systems, establish elevations and slopes, determine routing, and identify field conflicts before installation.
  • Experience coordinating pipe fitters, welders, helpers, apprentices, materials, tools, and production schedules.
  • Working knowledge of pipe fabrication and joining methods, including threading, grooving, brazing, welding, flanging, and mechanical connections.
  • Demonstrated understanding of jobsite safety, hot-work requirements, fall protection, material handling, and basic rigging practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsites.
