Cam-Ful Industries is seeking a Plumbing Helper who already has documented hands-on plumbing experience and wants to continue developing in the commercial plumbing trade. This position will assist experienced plumbers and foremen with tools, materials, layout preparation, piping installation, testing, cleanup, and other assigned field duties.
This is not a zero-experience position. Applicants must be able to describe plumbing work they personally performed for an employer, contractor, apprenticeship, or recognized training program. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, comfortable working on active construction sites, and willing to learn Cam-Ful’s methods and standards.

Responsibilities- Assist plumbers and foremen with commercial plumbing installation and jobsite activities.
- Gather, move, stage, count, and protect piping, fittings, fixtures, supports, tools, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, prepare, clean, and organize materials under proper supervision.
- Assist with hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, piping, fixtures, equipment, and basic layout preparation.
- Use hand tools and approved power tools safely and correctly for assigned tasks.
- Help prepare systems for testing, inspection, punch-list work, and cleanup.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and remove debris and trip hazards.
- Follow instructions, ask questions when work is unclear, and report unsafe conditions or damaged materials.
- Follow company safety policies, jobsite rules, and proper personal-protective-equipment requirements.
- Maintain reliable attendance and arrive prepared for the assigned shift and location.
Required Qualifications
- Documented hands-on plumbing experience gained through employment, contract work, an apprenticeship, or a recognized plumbing training program.
- Basic familiarity with plumbing tools, piping materials, fittings, measurements, and jobsite practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely under the direction of plumbers and foremen.
- Ability to perform construction work that includes lifting, carrying, climbing, standing, bending, and working in varying jobsite conditions.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willingness to travel to jobsites in the Charlotte region and work overtime when required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of hands-on plumbing experience.
- Commercial construction or commercial plumbing experience.
- Completion of plumbing coursework, pre-apprenticeship training, or an apprenticeship program.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
