About the positionPiqua Hardware & Rentals is currently seeking a highly-motivated, dynamic individual to join our growing company as a CDL-A Driver. This opportunity will be based out of our new hub in Piqua, Ohio. We are seeking someone that will be able to help us out full-time (7a - 4p Monday - Friday, with less than five Saturdays worked per year). Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities- Safely loading and securing construction material and equipment for transport to and from job sites
- Moving material manually and with skid steers or other construction related equipment
- Maintaining clean and organized loading and unloading areas with the support of site staff
- Picking up and delivering material, equipment, parts and supplies from suppliers, vendors, and job sites
- Other duties will be assigned as the individual progresses and gains familiarity of the company
- CDL-A required
- Safety is paramount. Must have a safe driving and work history
- Ability to operate/load construction equipment for hauling
- Knowledge of building materials associated with residential construction is helpful
- Ability to prioritize tasks assigned while working independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow within the construction industry
